The hotel could use a renovation, and for what we paid, it didn't feel worth it. We're now in a much better suite in another city centre hotel for just 10 euros more. Breakfast was quite poor, though the restaurant staff were polite and helpful. The housekeeper was the person I appreciated most, very kind and helpful even though she didn't speak English. The first-day receptionist was excellent and went above expectations, but on our last day he seemed like he just wanted us to leave.

We spent a few weeks here in Istanbul, and I'd say it's worth the money. The room was small and simple, but very clean. Breakfast was basic, but enough to keep you from feeling hungry. The staff were polite and available 24/7, and the place suited English, Russian, Arabic, and Turkish speakers. There was free tea and coffee in the room, with a nice sea view.

The reception guy helped us a lot, pointing out where to go and which transport to use so we wouldn't get scammed. He was probably the only one with such good English. My friend and I were pleased with the stay, especially since the rooms were cleaned every day, it was warm inside, and there were drinks available 24/7 on the rooftop. It's an affordable hotel, so we had an idea what to expect. Still, it's quite old and needs renovation, and we could hear the other rooms. Tesekular from the two Yunan girls ✌🏼

The breakfast was awful. Every day they served the same dried-out cheese and old olives, already plated before I came into the breakfast salon. I couldn't stand the stay and left for a nearby hotel. There was no refund, and they didn't seem to care. It felt like all they cared about was taking money, with zero hospitality or professionalism. My husband booked this hotel for me, and it was my worst hotel experience in Istanbul. The chunky guy at reception was hostile, abusive, and completely unprofessional. When I asked for the owner's contact so I could report what happened, he deliberately said there was no owner there. The room was awful too: the toilet flush didn't work, it smelled old and unpleasant, and it was so dark and gloomy both day and night. The dark painted walls made it feel even more depressing. I regret not checking reviews before booking. Learn from my mistake and stay far away.
