The beds were really comfy, the rooms were great, and the employees were very kind. The walls are paper thin, though, so you hear everything, and it can get noisy, mostly at night. You might also be woken at 5 AM by people praying. The location is practical for getting to the center quickly, and there’s a rooftop view. I recommend checking it out at night.

The staff were all incredibly friendly and supportive, and we felt welcome and looked after throughout our two nights at Hotel Mina. The manager was especially kind and helpful. Since it was my birthday, the hotel upgraded our room for free, which was such a lovely gesture. He also organized an amazing Bosphorus cruise with dinner and dancing, and I’m truly grateful he made the stay special. We had a wonderful time and will definitely come back. Thank you, Hotel Mina! ☺️

The internet was completely unusable, with zero connection. I complained every 20 min, but they kept ignoring me. They said the connection was bad everywhere, but it only worked badly at this location. I paid for an extra sim card to get normal internet because they refused to do anything. This should be made clear to anyone considering a stay. Most of the people in our group also complained about the internet and heating. The rooms were tiny, and the temperature was either sauna hot or too cold. I asked them to heat the room, and they made it a sauna. When I said it was 27C, they just said okay. Whatever you ask, they don’t change things. At check in, they clearly told us our room would have a great view, but there was no view at all. They focus on less important things in their replies. I asked for toilet paper and was told it would take one minute. It took eight hours, and I had to remind them. At checkout, I left a white bag by the room door for my friends and asked staff not to touch it. It disappeared within five minutes, and they couldn’t find it. Their staff told me I could leave it there, but then threw it in the garbage despite my request. Most of the time the staff didn’t understand what I was asking. They don’t speak proper English, which leads to misunderstandings. I think it’s important for reception staff to speak proper English. They talk about a parking space, but I have no idea what they mean. I can’t recommend this place at all. Worst experience ever, unlike anything I’ve had at another hotel. Pay attention to their response on booking.

The staff were friendly and helpful, and the room was kept clean with daily service. But there wasn't a bedside light or any chairs, so reading meant lying awkwardly on the bed to catch the light. Check the laundry price before handing anything over, it may cost more than you expect.

We had a lovely stay as a couple. Hagia Sophia and other popular sights were an easy walk away, and the staff were very helpful. I'd definitely recommend it. 😇
