Khalkedon Hotel Istanbul

It has a relaxed feel, and the location gives you a sense of the real Istanbul. The staff are helpful with whatever you need, and breakfast is nice. For where it is, the price is affordable. I'll definitely come back and book here on my next trip to Istanbul.

Breakfast starts at 7:30 and was one of the best hotel breakfasts I've had in Istanbul. It had the Turkish basics, all fresh and tasty: eggs, olives, labneh, börek, honey, sliced meat, and more. My double room was clean and nice, with a TV, closet, table and two chairs, plus two bedside tables with outlets. The only thing missing in the room was a waste bin; there was just a small one in the bathroom. This is a lovely little hotel and one of my favorites in Kadıköy. It's right in the heart of the area, near the market and close to everything a tourist needs. The staff were friendly and very helpful, with someone at reception around the clock. Room service is available on request. There was also a kettle in the room, with free tea, coffee, bottled water, and sugar. There's no elevator, and the stairs are a bit steep, but the staff kindly carried my luggage. My main problem was the people above me, who stomped around and made a lot of noise at night. It came through very loudly and was really annoying. That was the only negative, and I don't blame the hotel or staff. I think it's an old building with wooden floors, so this may be a typical issue. Rugs might help soften the noise a little. I'd definitely recommend staying here. The location alone is worth it, and the genuinely friendly, helpful staff made me feel very welcome. 🙏

I stay here all the time. The rooms are clean and cozy, the staff are polite, and the service is good. Breakfast is delicious and comes with great city views. For this area, the location gives you a great mix of price and quality.

The rooms are top tier, and the hotel is really quiet. The staff always greet you with a friendly smile and are cheerful and ready to help. Breakfast tastes incredible, and you can have it on the terrace with a wonderful view of the Bosphorus. The location is right in the city center, so it's easy to get around. This place felt so special, it deserves more than five stars. Definitely a must-stay.
