Meroddi Pera Flats

The staff were the best part of our stay. Our room was quite small and looked out onto the parking lot. Breakfast was decent, and they even put together a great breakfast pack for our early flight.

The apartment's actual room looked better than its photos, and having a dishwasher was handy. It’s near Galata, and the staff were friendly, quick to respond, and helpful. There was some confusion because GMap seemed to mix up the Flat and Hotel locations. Nobody told us to check in at Meroddi Bagdatyan hotel, so we waited too long outside the apartment. The lift was out of order for three days, though the staff helped us with our luggage.

The room had a leaking toilet ceiling, with water sometimes dripping out of the light fixture, and visible black mould in places. A sewage smell would come and go, too. The front desk staff were warm and welcoming, and service was great. The housekeeper was excellent, thoughtful, and arranged things around how we used the room. The room itself was another story.

Getting around was easy from here. We used the F1 Taksim-Kabataş funicular and the Tünel (the F2) to move around the city. The location was fantastic, and the concierge was very helpful with transport arrangements and reservations. Our three-room apartment suited our family of four adults perfectly, and could easily have fit five. Hotel service was speedy, too.
