Robin Hotel

The room was clean and comfortable, though a bit small. Sleep was another story. A nightclub started at 11:00 PM and kept going until 5:00 AM, so I didn’t get a single hour of sleep, unless blinking counts. Then we found out we were booked for two nights and had to endure the whole “all-night rave experience” twice. By the end, we felt less like rested travelers and more like extras from The Walking Dead.

Right in the heart of Taksim, with metro, buses, taxis, restaurants, cafés, and shops all just a short walk away, Robin Hotel made exploring Istanbul easy. The room was modern and clean, and for what we paid, it was better than other options nearby. The staff were friendly and did their best to help with requests like extra towels or an iron. We’d happily stay again. Highly recommended for comfort and convenience.

The room was clean and nicely decorated, and very close to Taksim. But on our Friday night booking, the nightclub music was extremely loud. Don’t take a first-floor room: you can hear every word and scream from reception, along with noise from rooms above and below and from the street. The loud, aggressive way Turks speak made it especially hard to ignore. A really frustrating, annoying night. Never again.

Kind, considerate staff were eager to help, and the room was lovely, bright, and had a very nice bathroom. This little hotel is close to fabulous restaurants and only a short distance from Haivest bus, the metro, Taksim Square, and Istiklal Caddesi. There’s a nightclub nearby, so Wednesday to Sunday it gets quite loud from 11.30 until 4 or 5 in the morning. Keep that in mind if noise would bother you.
