Star City Hotel

The staff are lovely and helpful, and speak Turkish, Arabic, and English, which made it easy to get around. Our room was clean and tidy, and breakfast was tasty. The hotel is close to everything, and I have no complaints. I recommend it if you’re visiting Istanbul.

We come to Istanbul often, and this is where my family and I stay each time. I’ve also stayed here on my own as a woman and felt very safe. The location is excellent, breakfast is great, and the staff are friendly and helpful. They went above and beyond when I had an issue.

I don’t recommend going there. While I was staying at the hotel, someone went into my bedroom when I left and stole my laptop. When I told reception, a couple of people came over and seemed about to hit me. They were all gangsters, in my view. They are absolutely thieves.

The breakfast spread was good, and the street behind 'Turgut Ozal Millet Cd' is lively. This is a budget hotel, so the rooms are small but have the necessary amenities. Getting to 'Yusufpasa' tram station is convenient. 'Aksaray' Metro station is across the main road, and that’s where the Havaist drops you off. Crossing to the hotel can be tricky. There’s an underpass a little farther around, but you’ll have to carry your luggage down and up stairs.
