Sunlife Hotel Old City

This is a budget hotel, but the value for the price is amazing. It’s in a great spot in the old city, close to everything, and the team were friendly and ready to help at any hour. The place was super clean, comfortable, and cozy, and I really enjoyed breakfast. Thanks to the team for being so hospitable. I hope to come back soon.

The central location is the one good thing I can say about this hotel. For what we paid, I expected much better. The place was dirty, the bathroom drain was clogged, and the beds were very uncomfortable. There were brown and yellow marks on the sheets, and the sound insulation was so poor we could hear cars and even people walking along the street. The breakfast didn’t seem hygienic at all. I’d avoid it.

You get what you’d expect for the price: simple rooms with some wear, but they were clean. The location is the real draw, and the staff were very friendly. It was quiet at night too, since the street itself is peaceful.

The breakfasts were delicious, with meat, eggs, salads, sweets, and coffee. They were simple but had everything, and the room was cleaned daily with fresh bedding and towels. The hotel team were friendly, answered all my questions, and offered a wide range of services. I was discovering Istanbul for the first time and realized it’s noisy and crowded everywhere, so I don’t think it’s fair to judge this place badly because of the noise. The location was great too, just 2 minutes down the street to the heart of tourist Istanbul. Thanks for a wonderful stay!
