From the first day, the stay was a nightmare. The bathroom hairdryer was broken and had exposed wires, which could have been life-threatening if it came into contact with water. They moved me to another room, but its water machine didn’t work either. When I tried to complain, nobody was at the lobby desk. I eventually spoke to someone at reception, who acted aggressively, told me to “take your money and leave,” and was completely unprofessional. The receptionist was clearly drunk while working, too. This was by far the worst hotel stay I’ve ever had. It felt unsafe and unfriendly, and wasn’t worth the price. I booked this so-called premium hotel in Istanbul, but I’d tell people to stay away.

I spent five nights at Taksim Premium Hotel and had a great stay for a very reasonable price. It’s right in the heart of Taksim, with countless coffee shops, breakfast places, and restaurants within walking distance. I explored the area mostly on foot, which made the trip more enjoyable. A great choice if you want to be close to everything in Istanbul.

I booked a triple standard room listed as 27 sqm, but was given a tiny double standard room of 14 sqm with no space for luggage. I have all the booking evidence, yet they insist the mistake happened somewhere in the process. There was no manager willing to take responsibility when I checked in late in the evening. This hotel is a scam. Save yourself the disappointment and trouble and don’t book here.

When I visited a year ago, the staff were very friendly and helpful, and my room was clean. The location is hard to beat: Istiklal Street is just a two-minute walk away, with the T1 tram line, Taksim Metro, Sishane Metro, and Beyoglu all nearby, as is Galata Tower. You won’t get bored with this location.

The rooms could be a bit bigger, but for the price and location there’s not much to complain about. It’s clean and acoustically isolated, and they provide instant coffee, tea, and water. The hotel is in a lively part of the Cehangir, beyoglu area.
