Taksim Star Hotel

This was my second stay, and the team upgraded my room. Banafsheh also kindly offered me breakfast at no charge after noticing I kept ordering food delivery. Her extra thoughtfulness and warm smile in the morning really made my day, and I'll remember it. Everyone is friendly, cheerful, and ready to help. Thanks to the whole team. I'll definitely come back.

I asked several times for the room to be cleaned properly, but the staff didn't listen or do anything. Their attitude felt careless, as if guest comfort didn't matter. From the start, the room smelled awful and wasn't clean. The sheets hadn't been changed, and there was no water. Basic hygiene and cleanliness seemed completely overlooked. It was an uncomfortable, disappointing stay, and I can't recommend this hotel.

We booked three rooms online for ten nights for my family and me, paying 2,050 EUR, but we couldn't manage more than two nights. We left during the second night without getting any money back. In my 20 years of staying in hotels, this was my most difficult experience. I'll never return, even if it were free or the only hotel available in Istanbul. The photos online are far from reality. The rooms were tiny, with old, worn, broken furniture and no room facilities. There was no safety or cleanliness, no proper hotel facilities, no responsible managers, and no permanent housekeeping staff. The staff were harsh and unfriendly. In just one day, I saw several heated arguments between guests and receptionists. Breakfast was very poor, and its restaurant was in another hotel, a five-minute walk down the main street. The entrance had damaged flooring and sat next to the entrance of a strange nightclub. The pictures only show a small part of the story.

I really enjoyed my time at Taksim Star Hotel. The staff were helpful and friendly throughout, and Burhan at reception deserves a special mention for making me feel welcome and offering support.
