Terrace Guesthouse

The rooftop terrace and breakfast area are the standout features, with views over much of old instanbul. You can see the Blue Mosque, Hagia Sohpia, and the palace gates, all within a 400m walk. Restaurants and supermarkets are right nearby too. The staff are friendly, helpful, and fun. The rooms were recently renovated, feel more modern, have Aircon, and sleep four comfortably. It was a great base for our trip to turkey.

We were a family of four, and we all liked this charming hotel, especially the kind staff and their service. The rooms are spacious, too. The location is hard to beat, on the street between the saint Sophia and blue mosquee. It’s about a five-minute walk to the T1 tramway, which takes you from the historic center to the busy night restaurant, Cafe, and bar area in around five minutes, three stops. The staff are welcoming, dedicated, and proactive about making your stay comfortable. At sunrise, breakfast on the terrace comes with a splendid 360-degree view: the sun rises behind the bosphore River, and you can see the blue mosquee and saint Sophia.

We stayed on the 4th floor, with easy access to the rooftop lounge and its stunning views. Everything a first-time visitor wants to see is within a five-minute walk. The management were amazing from arrival to departure. Twice they went out of their way to arrange an early breakfast or packed lunch. Can’t recommend the guesthouse enough. Cheers, Brad and Izzy.

The breakfast is amazing and gives you energy for a full day walking around the city. Staff are impeccable, helpful, friendly, and accommodating while also giving you space. The Terrace Guesthouse feels like a home away from home for me. It’s in the heart of the old city, great for sightseeing, and the rooms are cozy, clean, and comfortable. I can’t wait to return!
