Vefa Historical Suites Hotel

Everything we needed was close at hand, and the central location made it easy to walk to the tourist attractions. We had a wonderful, very comfortable stay in this newly opened house. I’ll definitely return.

There’s plenty of practical equipment here: fast Wi-Fi, a TV with internet, air conditioning, an oven, a washing machine with detergent, and a clothes dryer. The kitchen has varied tableware, plus tea and salt. There’s enough space for two, and the host was friendly. The location is good too, with a cafe, bus stop, and metro nearby, and the main sights on Istanbul’s European side within walking distance. The finish is rough and the renovation feels sloppy. The kitchen is small, dim, and awkward to use, with a wall cabinet that hangs too low. There’s no proper dining table, and the cutlery drawer is right at floor level. The kettle is broken, and there’s no hot water at the kitchen sink, so dishes have to be washed in cold water. In the bathroom, the rusty door handle squeaks loudly enough to wake people at night. The shower is cramped and leaks a little, while the water heater doesn’t hold enough for two people to shower without waiting for it to heat again. The leather chairs don’t look clean, and the bedding is worn and pilled. Humidity is high, with condensation often appearing on the windows.

The staff were extremely attentive and quick to help whenever something came up. We were very satisfied with this well-kept, high-quality hotel.

It felt safe arriving late, and we were happy with the security, even though we stayed as a group of girls. The apartment was clean and comfortable, and the staff were understanding and helpful. Vezneciler metro station and Laleli train station are very close, no more than a 3-4 minute walk.
