Vefa Dürüm Evi feels like the kind of local gem you hope to stumble on. The köfte and kebabs were unbelievably delicious, and the dürüms and other authentic Turkish food are excellent too. Prices are very affordable, so the value is great. The women managing the restaurant were incredibly kind and generous, which made the already genuine local atmosphere feel even warmer. High quality, great value, and wonderful hospitality. Definitely recommended 👌🏼.

Yildiz hanim is so kind and welcoming, she makes you feel at home. If you’re near the historical peninsula (Old City), stop by this place in Vefa. The irmik helva with ice cream is warm, sweet, and balanced just right with the cold ice cream. Super tasty, and definitely worth trying!

Such a friendly, homey place, and the owner is super nice. We got köfte and Turkish halva, and both were tasty. The prices were reasonable compared with nearby places.
