Yazar Hotel

It's a nice little budget hotel in a great location, with clean rooms and free breakfast as a bonus. Parking is the main drawback, especially during the day when there's none available. The hotel faces a school, so rooms with street-facing windows are relatively noisy.

The bedrooms were warm, but sometimes they heated up too fast during the night and got too hot. Some rooms also had damp marks that were a bit of an eyesore. The staff were polite and helpful, and the place was comfortable and clean. The breakfast and dining area was terrible, though, especially in colder weather. A big draft came through the terrace they'd tried to turn into a breakfast area.

The fridge didn't work and looked like it hadn't for quite some time. There was no kettle, some moss on the walls, and the breakfast was relatively poor. The elevator entrance had no glass window either. It used to be nice, but it feels like it hasn't been renovated in a while and is falling apart. I wouldn't recommend it for women, as the area is quite dark in the evening.

The hotel itself is dull and boring, and the street doesn't give you good vibes. The location is near Sultan Ahmet Square, which some might consider good, but there are lots of hotels in the area and you can find a relatively better one for the same budget.
