I felt unsafe here because the door wouldn't lock, and the staff weren't much help when we asked them to call a taxi. They claimed taxis don't come there, but we saw them driving around right away. The rooms were awful: some had no windows, ours was too hot with old AC, the mattress was broken, and it wasn't very clean. The lamps didn't work properly and only two TV channels worked. I don't recommend staying here.

The restaurant serves very good food, with a buffet-style selection of dishes. It's a pleasant place with what you need for a good rest, in Laleli Quarter not far from the Grand Bazaar. Most of the staff speak Russian, and a little English.

Breakfast was the one good part, it tasted nice, though some of the sausages may send you rushing to the toilet. The room was tiny and really noisy, with walls as thin as the schoolbooks they use there. Service was awful, and not one staff member spoke anything but Turkish.

The meals are really tasty, both in the morning and evening. Noise from the business traders from Central Asia made it quite loud, though. It'd be a great place if hotel guests were asked to keep the noise down.
