Dutlu Konak

We stayed for a month with my boys, and Ozlem and her colleagues made things much easier for us. She sent a PDF with useful information on Izmir landmarks, historic sites, malls, cafes, and restaurants, and they were helpful and accommodating throughout. For a quiet break, we’d have coffee in the garden and listen to the birds. The roof garden was lovely in the evening, with sea views and Izmir’s lights. I also visited their other two properties, Iconic stone houses and Buyuk Konak, which had a nice view too. I really appreciated all their help and guidance during our stay.

Please think twice before booking here. Our three-day reservation was cut to two days at the last minute, and we were told it was because the owner could make more money from another group. We were then offered a different place for the same price, but it had only one room. They also didn't refund us the full amount for the day we didn't stay. There were strangers walking around the garden late at night, so it didn't feel like a family place. The whole experience was a fiasco, and I felt ripped off. I wouldn't want anyone else to lose their money or have their stay in Izmir turn into a nightmare.

A nice place to stay, but it’s right at the top of a hill, so having a car might be necessary.
