Grand Hekimoglu Hotel

The market is close by, along with lots of lovely shops, restaurants, and bars. Hale A is a very nice hotel, and the staff made us feel welcome. I really enjoyed my stay and will come back. A very happy customer 😃

We had to leave after just one night. The first room was very dirty, and in the second we couldn’t sleep because of all the noise from the vent pipes. The bathroom door was noisy too. The receptionist was nice, and the location is convenient, close to public transport and shops.

The location made it easy to get around Izmir. The metro is just around the corner, and the tram stop is across the road if you turn left. You’ll need an Izmirim Kart for all transport. It’s a great system for getting to Alsancak and the kordon areas, and the clock tower, old town shopping, and ancient city ruins are walkable too. For a reasonable price, you get clean, comfortable rooms and friendly, helpful staff. The reception lady and team even let us check in early. The rooms could use a little refurbishment, but they have good air conditioning, comfortable beds, plenty of storage, and a powerful, clean shower. It isn’t the most luxurious place, but it has what you need for a nice stay.

Our room faced the back of the hotel, so it was quiet and we slept well. We stayed for two nights, and the whole hotel had recently been renovated. The room was in pristine condition and comfortable, and the staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. Highly recommended.
