This was my second visit, and I’ll definitely come back next year. The hotel was very clean, room service was efficient, and everyone at reception and in the restaurant was lovely, cheerful, and positive.

Rooms 702 and 703 on the upper floor have a wonderful view of the castle, and the breakfast buffet is outstanding. The service was helpful, especially Gamzeh at reception. She’s a ray of sunshine, always ready to help and able to solve every guest’s request with a smile. Great value for money and, for me, the best place to stay in Kars.

The staff were friendly and breakfast was adequate, but there are a lot of problems here. Downstairs, the building feels old and the beds sag. The renovated upper floors have their own issues: drafts come through cracks around the windows, the rooms have no glass, and the toilets keep running. The key cards work so poorly that you’re constantly going back and forth to reception. There’s no railing on the stairwell, and breakfast coffee or tea comes in cardboard cups.

The breakfast was amazing, the rooms are beautiful, the view is great, and the staff are AMAZING. Keep it up, guys. Kars itself is such an underrated city and worth taking time to visit. See the museums, mosques, and castle, and buy some cheese.
