Golden Street Hotel

It was a pleasure to stay here. The room was spotless and very comfortable, and I loved the beautiful view. The lively surroundings gave the place character. There was some noise from busy Istiklal, though it felt like part of being in the heart of the city. The staff were warm and attentive the whole time.

The cleaning was spot on, and room service was excellent. The staff were so kind and breakfast was amazing too. I really enjoyed my stay at Golden Street hotel, and can't wait to book again when I come to Turkey.

The view over Istiklal street was amazing, and we really liked our room. The beds were very comfortable, and it was handy having a refrigerator. Finding the hotel was a little tricky because its name is only on the door. It's beside a nightclub, and the street gets busy at night, but we're not light sleepers and the noise didn't bother us. The AC was loud enough to cover it, though earplugs might help lighter sleepers. Breakfast was served on the balcony.

The location was good and there was a nice terrace we could use any time. But our budget room had a lot of mold and bugs. It didn't seem properly cleaned before we arrived, and wasn't cleaned during our four-night stay either. The towels weren't replaced, and the AC was very noisy and full of dirt. Breakfast didn't have much to offer. Sound insulation was poor, so we could hear the neighbors talking and music from the club downstairs. There is no hotel parking, despite what the Booking listing suggests. They tell you to park three or four blocks down the street. The fee was 10-20 euros, depending on circumstances that weren't clear. The people at the parking place didn't speak English at all.
