We’ve returned to the Ravouna several times because it feels like home, and this visit brought a lovely surprise: the newly opened rooftop terrace. We went up for drinks late yesterday afternoon and enjoyed the easygoing atmosphere, the beautiful view across Istanbul and the Bosphorus, and a light breeze in perfect weather. It was so relaxing that we could have stayed for hours watching the light change over the rooftops. The cocktails were excellent, and the service was warm. The young woman who served us was particularly kind and spoke perfect English. It’s an inviting spot for seeing another side of Istanbul.

The room was lovely, with comfortable bedding and a little balcony facing the water. This boutique hotel is beautifully renovated, and the staff were professional. It’s on a charming pedestrian street, with a great cafe downstairs for breakfast, ice cream, and more. The kind man at the front desk even walked me to the corner to help me get a taxi. I’ll definitely be back soon.
