IQ Hotel Beyoglu

The guys at reception were polite and helpful, and the hotel was clean inside. It’s well located if you’re after a fun night out, but the bars and clubs are really close, so there’s a lot of noise outside, especially at night.

We felt at home here and would love to stay again. The rooms were cute, cozy, and clean, and the staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel is right in the heart of Istanbul, just steps from İstiklal Street, so we could walk wherever we needed to go. We only needed transport for the airport, and even the airport bus station was within walking distance. Finding a vegan restaurant nearby was a blessing. The price was affordable, too.

I booked through booking.com, choosing the cheapest room without a window. The listing clearly said whether a room had windows, despite some worrying reviews calling the place a scam. I was nervous about booking, but the staff were helpful and honest. When I arrived, I upgraded to a balcony room for a fair price. They also told me there’d be an extra charge to pay by card instead of cash. The hotel is just behind taksim mosque, close to the bus tunnel and metro, and steps from the Taksim shopping area. There’s noise around the neighborhood, which is to be expected. I highly recommend it.

The room was clean and nicely decorated, but it had no windows and was full of smoke. The location is perfect, and the elevator, air conditioners, and Wi-Fi were all good. It could be a really nice place, but the reception guy was grim and unfriendly. He never smiled, barely spoke or explained anything, hardly answered questions, and acted as if I wasn’t there.
