The price felt high for the level of service.

The lack of outlets was another hassle. Apart from the appliance sockets, there were only two usable plugs in the whole place, one in the bedroom and another by the coat rack. I ended up buying three or four five-meter, three-way extension strips just to get by. The soundproofing is awful. Noise from the neighboring apartment comes through as if it’s in my room. Internet is advertised, but the connection cuts out every five minutes, and even when it works, opening a web page or sending a WhatsApp message feels like a win. There are regular problems with hot water, the elevator, and the central gas system. Once a month, hot water can be out for two or three days. One elevator breaks down monthly, and this month two are out. We’ve been trapped in one a few times. The repair person they send doesn’t seem qualified and can make the damage worse. The gas system has failed several times, and even when it runs, it’s only on for around five hours total each day. We sit under blankets in the cold and snow. Then they ask for 5-6 thousand Lira in maintenance fees, about what you might spend on water, electricity, and gas in a normal apartment. For a monthly rent of 23,000 Turkish Lira, this place can make you miserable. They renew the contract every six months, and another rent increase is due in a few months. Leaving before the term ends means paying an extra month. They already collected my rent plus another month while I lived there, and now they’re threatening legal action if I don’t pay an additional month to leave early. Having a friend over is embarrassing too. At the entrance, someone hurries after you and demands your ID before your guest can enter, even if the visitor is family. It feels like entering some secret chamber. It doesn’t matter whether you or the guest are male or female. A friend commented below, and I agree: absolutely a place to avoid. Stay away if you don’t want to waste money and feel humiliated.

I’m leaving the suite today after a little over two years, and it’s easily the best place I stayed in Kayseri. I’ll remember it as an important part of my life here, and I’m grateful as I say goodbye to the city. Daily cleaning and security were real positives. It felt like a nice, safe place where immoral or troublesome people couldn’t get in. My one issue was how hot my apartment got. In summer I slept with the window open the whole time.

I stayed there, and my advice is to stay elsewhere. The apartment was supposedly furnished and included internet, but the furniture was old, dirty, and ready to be thrown out. There wasn’t a proper bed, just foam hidden under sheets. The flimsy plastic shower doors wouldn’t shut properly, so the bathroom flooded. Their internet never worked, and the wifi equipment looked ancient. There’s no sound insulation either. You can hear someone coughing on the floor above or below as if they were in your apartment. For a six-month stay, they charge nearly another month’s rent on top of the rent. They only make six-month agreements, raising the rent every six months rather than annually. They name an arbitrary amount, and if you won’t pay, they tell you to leave. When you have guests, they tell them to hand over their IDs before entering, as if they’re visiting a prison. They’re stingy with the furniture and internet, and their welcoming smiles don’t last. When you leave, they threaten to sue. They sent someone to fix a problem in my home who didn’t know the property, and a water system issue flooded my house. Stay away. This is advice from someone who stayed there.

There’s no soundproofing, and the shower space is so tiny you can’t even wash properly. They tell you there’s a bed, but it’s only a foam mattress covered with sheets, and they don’t mention that when you move in. I’d avoid the place, don’t even walk past it.
