Kemer Dream Hotel

This place calls itself a four-star hotel, but to me it's barely a two. Our room was awful, and the balcony door wouldn't close, which felt unsafe. The food was the same every day and came with huge queues. The all-inclusive ice cream was available for only 30 minutes a day. The beach was far away, and the bar there only had water. Staff were rude. It was a terrible place that ruined our holiday. I don't recommend it.

There was a wide choice of food and pools, but we weren't given our room right away. The shower ran out of water once, and our room card was often blocked. The main reason for my one-star rating is that my family and I were made to leave early. Then we had to wait eight hours at reception for our coach.

The pool water was good, and the rooms were clean with fresh bed linen every day. The rest of the setup felt poorly managed. Three bars were installed, but only the one by the pool was running, with just two bartenders and no waiters, only people clearing tables. The result was constant bar queues. Glasses were often unavailable, so drinks went into plastic cups. The hotel had no champagne. Disposable plates, straws, packaging, and food scraps were left around without being cleared. Food service was also a mess. Breakfast was very limited, with no scrambled eggs or sausages, which I consider a hotel basic. One or two staff cooked something instead, so there were long food lines. Coffee was instant, not real coffee. Lunch had only pasta and two meat choices, with huge queues. I've never seen lines that long anywhere. The same meals could be offered at several stations to ease the congestion. Sunbeds were cleared at 4 PM in one area and 6 PM in another, which felt disgraceful and disrespectful to guests. The waterslide only ran at certain times, so kids weren't kept entertained and parents couldn't get a chance to relax. There seemed to be no basic management. With the staff available, they could set up a better system and image, and run multiple bars. For example, the coffee server could work one of the three bars serving beer, wine, or sweet drinks, which doesn't require cocktail knowledge. That would help reduce crowding.

The beach is about 300 m away, but huge stones make it hard to walk barefoot, so bring water shoes. There are lots of sunbeds packed close together, and a coffee machine on the beach. The water is warm, clear blue, and beautiful. We were very happy with the hotel. The pools are nice, and the food is good. Breakfast could be better, but lunch, dinner, and snacks were excellent, especially the cakes. Fish was served every day. The hotel puts on events each evening, and the staff are generally very helpful. We had a few complaints on the first night, but they sorted them out. A few receptionists speak English, not just Russian. We'd definitely recommend the hotel.
