Pirate's Beach Club Hotel - Ultra All Inclusive

We liked how peaceful the hotel was, and there was often good music by the pool. The grounds are large, quiet, and full of different plants. The pool, bar, and beach are all close together, and the place was kept clean. There are three average-sized pools, two with slides. The food was very good and varied. We’re picky eaters, but enjoyed everything, including the delicious food at the outdoor beach bar, where the sea view is great. Drinks at the bar were strong, with plenty of alcohol. The entertainment and shows were good for the price, and the entertainment staff were dedicated. Other staff were friendly and could arrange things for us. It’s a good hotel to recommend, especially for such an affordable price. The rooms have been renovated, and it’s bungalows only. The main building has reception, a big bar, and a lobby. It isn’t luxurious, but it’s very nice overall. My one personal downside was the pillows, which were very hard and high, so I’d bring my own. Otherwise, I’d highly recommend it.

I went before and loved it, but they took the sword off the Adventure Time logo. I get that they don’t want to get sued by Cartoon Network, but they could’ve kept the sword and made new wording that was similar without using the Adventure Time name.

The kids’ club and animators were the one good part of our stay. The sea was nice too, though that has nothing to do with the hotel. Everything else was a disaster. The food was bland, unsalted, and the same every day. On “seafood day” there was only tasteless crayfish boiled in plain water, and on another day the mussels were spoiled and smelled awful. When we complained, the manager said they were fresh, although many guests were saying the same thing. When we tried to record our conversation with him, he aggressively tried to take our phone. That was completely unacceptable. Most staff were rude and unhelpful, aside from some bartenders and the animation team. At our late check-in, the receptionist seemed annoyed and sleepy. The children’s pool felt unsafe, with no safety mats and no lifeguards except briefly in the morning and evening. It was often closed earlier than scheduled. Our child developed a skin infection, likely from the water or hotel grounds, with a rash on several parts of the body. We had to get medical help after returning home. This was an unhygienic, unsafe experience, nowhere near five stars. It ruined our vacation, and we’ll never return. After this, we’ve lost interest in visiting Turkey again.

The room was decent and cleaned every day, and the sea was beautiful as always. Beyond that, the holiday was a letdown. The first three days the food was fairly good and had some variety, but then it went downhill to mostly side dishes and nothing satisfying. The staff seemed miserable and were extremely rude and unfriendly. I’ve visited Turkey eight times, and haven’t had service this poor in a Turkish hotel before. The snack bar had hardly any choices, the pools were dirty, and the animation was so minimal and basic that there was no sign of the kid-friendly concept the hotel advertises. For me this is three stars at best. It felt like a waste of money and completely spoiled the mood of the holiday. I can’t recommend it.
