The lack of sound insulation made it impossible to sleep. Traffic outside sounded as if the window were open, and people talking or walking in the lobby could be heard through the room doors, which were open at the bottom like private room doors. There was also an electrical problem: turning on the toilet light made the room light flicker, and the smoke alarm flashed every 30 seconds all night. In the dark, that flashing was torture. We knew the room would be small, so I won’t dwell on that. We booked two nights but had to leave the next day, and they didn’t refund the unused night. We trusted the rating, but it was a bad stay. I can’t recommend this hotel.

The breakfast was very meager, and omelets were only made if requested. We chose a standard room based on the reviews, but the first room was so tiny there wasn’t room to unpack, and the bathroom was too small to wash our hands. We asked to move. The next room was a little bigger but impractical, with no wardrobe and a shelf right beside the bed. The bed was unhygienic, with hairs and strands of hair under the duvet, so we requested another room. The staff kindly helped us in the evening, but that room wasn’t clean either, and the bathroom had serious hygiene issues. I didn’t even want to go in there.

We booked a large room through an agency a month ahead, and the photos made it look spacious. At arrival, it was tiny and couldn’t fit three people. When we raised this, the receptionist rolled her eyes, offered cancellation instead of help, and even said my sister had rolled her eyes. It was upsetting that they wouldn’t show us the video recordings and kept making negative accusations when we had chosen the larger room. The agency’s customer service told us the hotel couldn’t cancel unless there was a problem between us and the agency, and said no cancellation had been requested. We asked customer service directly to change hotels, and they did. We didn’t get a refund, we changed hotels. If we hadn’t called and acted carefully, we might have believed the hotel and lost our money. Once a hotel starts the refund process, a hotel change isn’t possible, but they hadn’t even submitted a cancellation request. If you’re a family of three choosing a larger room, be careful. Otherwise you may be stuck in a smaller one and lose money.

The beach is about a seven-minute walk away, and the hotel has an arrangement that cuts the price in half. The pool was clean and decent, and the kids didn’t want to get out. When they were misbehaving, the staff stayed kind and friendly. The owner and staff are welcoming, and it feels like a great place for families. The location is perfect, with everything only about 50 meters away. I highly recommend it.
