Can Garan Organic Naturel House

After a long, hot ride over the hills on our cycling route through Turkey, we were grateful for how warmly John welcomed us to Can Garan Organic Natural House. He showed us two camping spots, including a shady one that was just what we needed. John and his parents were incredibly helpful, and staying beside their home turned into a memorable evening. Of all the hosts we met while travelling in Turkey, John was the best. Everything felt perfect. Go, you won't be disappointed.

The room was bright, clean, and felt like home. I also got to try a delicious homemade dinner, and everyone was friendly and happy to tell me about Turkish life. It’s a peaceful little village at 2000 meters, and staying there left me feeling refreshed and free. I met some lovely people and would definitely recommend a visit. PS: The linked photo shows the Batman graffiti while it was being painted. It was a lot of fun being there then.

We loved having plenty of room to spread out, with a lovely patio and a wide-open view of the garden. We rented a spot for our tent, and the clean, well-kept property and facilities had everything the two of us needed. The staff were so helpful with tips on getting around, and we really enjoyed the little things the owner had left behind at the village bazaar, Söğüt. Just remember to shop ahead: the market is 15km away, and you’ll want to get supplies before trying the owner’s homemade organic wine. We’re Turkish and live in Spain, and we’re thankful for the stay, Mr Jan. Camping, wine, music, and more, who needs oxygen and ozone?

Can Garan Organic House was such a lovely place to unwind in nature. There’s plenty of space for tents and vans, four tidy, clean rooms, and a large shared room. The home-grown fruit and vegetables and the delicious wine were a real treat. Rooms can fill up, so call ahead to reserve.
