Atabay Termal Hotel

Nein No. The hotel was a major disappointment and doesn't deserve even one star. The in-room phone was broken, so I couldn't reach the front desk to report problems or get help. The bathroom was in terrible shape, the beds were uncomfortable, and the stairs to the pool were broken and squeaked loudly, which felt unsafe. Other problems also made the stay unpleasant. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone.

The people working here were all very friendly and ready to help. They got our group settled quickly and answered all our questions, which I really appreciated. The hotel is in Kozakly, a small town, and after reading earlier reviews we were worried, but it turned out we needn't have been. It's a good thermal hotel, and the value for money is very good. Our room and the spa complex were clean. The room was warm and had a fridge, TV, comfortable beds, a bath with thermal water, and a balcony, plus robes and slippers. We got two complimentary bottles of water on arrival. Breakfast and dinner were included, tasty but nothing fancy, and tea and cookies were served in the lobby from 3 to 4 pm. The spa has a hammam, sauna, separate men's and women's thermal pools at 42 degrees, and a swimming pool at 28 degrees. The spa interior is pleasant, the sauna smells nicely of wood, and the pools stay open until 11 pm, which was a nice surprise. There is a lovely park next door, along with little souvenir shops and cafes. We liked the hotel. Don't expect miracles, but there's nothing to worry about either.

We only stayed one night. The room itself was generally clean and didn't smell, and I liked the internet, though it only worked in the lobby. Dinner had a type of meat I enjoyed, and the chefs and dining room workers were polite. The hotel had a nice general feel, and there's a park nearby where children can play. Still, I left with hygiene concerns. The receptionist wasn't welcoming or very polite, and no one we could find, including reception and the internal support line, spoke English. We needed an extra bed and had to wait a long time while trying to interpret for them. A pool worker poured chlorine into the water while we were still swimming at night. The bathroom supplies weren't satisfying, just a small soap and low-quality shampoo, so bring your own. The slippers were very thin and awkward to put on. Breakfast was mostly nice, though some items like sausages and fries seemed to have been cooked days earlier. Late at night the pool area smelled of smoke because some people were smoking in a completely closed space, which was a shame.

A relaxing, comfortable five-star hotel, with quick responses to requests. I extended my booking from 7 to 10 days, and the SPA was very good too. Best wishes and good luck to Mrs Meltem, Hülya, Mr khaled, khlis, the massagrr Ferhad, Erdal, Mevlut, and the servants.
