The staff were friendly and helpful, but you have to ask for things. They won't clean your room or bring fresh towels unless you request them. We didn't know that, so our room was cleaned only once or twice during our 6-night stay. They leave toilet paper, shampoo and shower gel, but no extra supplies. If you run out of toilet paper, you'll need to go down to reception for more. There's no room landline or complimentary water, so bring your own bottle. Our room was small, and while most rooms have a balcony, the bathroom had a cramped layout: the toilet got soaked during showers. The shower water stayed hot and seemed endless. The toilet roll and soap holders were broken, and the sink's plastic covering started peeling during our stay. The air conditioning smelled really foul. We first thought it was the bathroom, but it was definitely the air conditioning, and at night we had to turn it off because the smell was so distracting. WiFi worked well in the lobby, though it wasn't reliable in the rooms. The beach is under a 10-minute walk downhill, but expect a climb back up. Coffee and tea are free throughout the day, and they also offer a complimentary Turkish breakfast. Breakfast was alright: eggs, cheese, meat, cucumber, tomato, olives, strawberry jam, kaymak with honey and bread. Sometimes they served French fries or borek too. It's served outdoors, where stray cats may beg. One particularly naughty cat tries to swipe food off your plate. There's a convenience store less than a five-minute walk uphill, across from the Dolmus stop. Dolmus no. 5 goes to downtown Kusadasi or Kusadasi castle for 11 TL. Several places to eat or drink are close by, but the restaurants and bars beside the sea are pricey tourist traps. The side streets are a better bet for a bite, or you can have dinner at the hotel for 350 TL, including soup, salad, meat or fish, and a soft drink.
