Seali̇ght Resort Hotel

Even at the end of the season, the staff were wonderful, friendly, and so accommodating. We had a great week at the Sealight Resort and have just got home. Our room was clean with a lovely sea view, and the private beach was lovely too. Evening entertainment ran quite late for us with a young child, though we still enjoyed the whole experience. Special thanks to Kadir, Bora & Yildiray at the bar, Effe at reception, and Ugur & Yalcin in the restaurant. Sorry I can't remember the other names. The managers were always smiling and helpful too. We were delighted with our stay. The grounds were well kept, and the atmosphere calm and comfortable. Rooms were cozy and clean, with everything we needed; the food was tasty and varied, with plenty of daily choices. The staff were always friendly and ready to help. Thanks especially to reception staff Turan, guest relations team Inna, Dinara, and Gekan, animation team member Sinan, and the woman making gözleme pancakes whose name I unfortunately didn't catch. It's the kind of place that makes you want to return.

We liked Sea light resort and enjoyed our stay. There was plenty of food and desserts, the rooms were clean with a nice view, and one restaurant waiter, Mohammed or Mohammad from Ankara, treated us so well that we felt important and special. He really knows how to look after guests and deserves a raise. A big plus was how kindly people treated the stray animals. RESPECT. I gave four stars because some bartenders seemed annoyed. I understand the work is stressful and many guests don't know how to behave, but as polite people we expected a friendlier attitude. Of course, not all of them were like that. The lobby furniture also smelled really bad. I wish they'd play more Turkish music.

My wife and I had a very nice holiday at Sealight Resort in Kusadasi. The views of the sea are amazing and there was sunshine all day. We relaxed at the main pool or took the steep path down to the beach, where the sitting and lounge areas were much quieter and more relaxing than by the pool. The towel service was efficient, but guests often put towels on sunbeds very early and then disappear most of the day. With so much space, the hotel could offer a small paid reserved area for those who want a bed all day and donate the money to local charity. Wasps were a huge problem and seriously affected the stay. I don't want the usual eco and biodiversity excuse. Removing a few nests around the hotel wouldn't hurt nature, and you'd remove them in your own garden. At the buffet, there was decent variety and some daily changes, better than we expected from an all-inclusive. A few dishes were excellent when warm, but food was usually lukewarm or cold even if we arrived early. Morning eggs were cold, and most hot dishes had clearly been sitting out a long time. Desserts were the same every day. Buffet staff seemed poorly trained: about eight times out of ten, our table wasn't set and we had to do it ourselves. When we got up for another dish, waiters kept taking our glasses or cards even though we clearly weren't done. I couldn't tell what the person at the restaurant entrance was there for besides saying hello and goodbye. The F&B manager should spend more time training staff instead of chatting and laughing around, which we noticed too. For the à la carte restaurants, you have to reserve at guest relations, not reception, even when receptionists are standing around. That means queuing. We had only four people ahead of us and it still took ages. Not all restaurants are open every day, so choices are limited. We wanted the Turkish restaurant, but at 10:10 a.m. it was already “fully booked,” despite just a few guests ahead of us. The system makes no sense. If the hotel sets rules, it should follow them instead of making exceptions for some guests. We ended up at the Italian restaurant, and it was terrible. My seafood risotto starter had only two shrimps, one mussel and a small piece of calamari, and wasn't good. My wife's main course risotto had no seafood at all. Her soup starter was lukewarm, and my meat main course tasted good but was cooked completely differently from what I'd asked. As we left, they handed us a small book expecting a tip, which was unacceptable. It was the worst hotel à la carte restaurant we've ever had. The poolside and beach snack bars were also very poor in both food quality and service, definitely not worth trying. The bars themselves were cozy and had a nice atmosphere, but drinks were mediocre. Order the same cocktail ten times and you'd probably get nine different versions, another sign of poor training. Cleanliness throughout the hotel was excellent, with no complaints, and the two evenings of entertainment we attended were honestly great fun. The location, sea view and atmosphere made for a good holiday, but restaurant service and staff training need serious improvement. Better management and organization could make Sealight Resort an excellent hotel.
