The room was spacious and clean, and the internet worked very well. The staff were respectful and helpful. There's parking in the basement, and the breakfast buffet had plenty of choices. The hotel is near a small shopping and restaurant center.

We liked the Malatya hotel enough to extend our stay by a night after initially booking just one. The staff were friendly, especially the receptionist Osman Ozdemir, who helped us a lot in Malatya and booked a room for us in Van for the next day. At Ramada hotel in Van, though, they charged us more than usual. We didn't have TL, so we offered dollars. The rate was 18.45 TL per dollar, but they took our dollars at 17. Can you believe that? It felt like a kind of fraud.

The internet was one of the biggest problems. It only worked after the receptionist entered my name and passport number into the system. The card in the room said this should take about half an hour after check-in, but I waited around three hours before going back to reception furious because I couldn't work normally on my laptop. Nobody at reception knew English, which is terrible for that job. The hotel looks nice and has a pool, and the food was okay, with tasty cheese, fruit and sweets. The air-conditioned rooms even have a glowing room number by the entrance, which is fancy. Still, for a five-star hotel, it was disappointing. It's an okay place if you speak Turkish and have loads of patience. I have neither.

The room had a full-width glass window, a comfortable bed, wooden storage, a work table, tea table, sofa and clothes rack. The modern washroom was well equipped, and the central temperature control worked. Room service helped keep things clean and neat. The room was warm and comfortable, and the food was okay. But the staff don't know English, so communication with business travelers from elsewhere was difficult. There were no English TV channels or universal power socket for international visitors, and the room lighting wasn't enough.
