Alessia Hotel

The food was one of the best parts of our week in Turkey. Everything was fresh, tasty, and nicely prepared. Special thanks to Cem, the chef: his cooking was excellent, and he was one of the friendliest and funniest people we met. He was always smiling, joking, and making time for a chat, which gave the stay a personal touch. The hotel felt relaxed and welcoming, the location worked perfectly for us, and our room was clean and comfortable. From the moment we arrived, the staff were warm, attentive, and professional, and we felt at home. The whole stay was perfect, and we couldn't have asked for a better place for our holiday. Thanks to everyone. We'll definitely be back.

The beach was okay, but all they had there was water and coffee. After ten days, I definitely wouldn't recommend this place. The food was bad, not just in taste but in safety and freshness. Chicken was pink and stuck to the bone, cheese was left out at 25°C for three hours then served again, and the only fruit was watermelon and honeydew. Most cakes were sweet without much flavour, though a few exceptions disappeared first. I ate only at the hotel and ended up with a wrecked stomach, even probiotics didn't help. At dinner, which officially ran 19:00-21:00, most food was already being packed away by 20:00, and staff seemed to hurry to finish early. The pool was much too small for a hotel with around 80 rooms, it should be at least twice the size. Though the posted hours were 10:00-18:00, expect to be made to leave around 17:30. Sunbeds were being “reserved” with towels from 7:30 despite a rule against it. The room was the only reason I didn't give one star. It had AC, but the Wi-Fi was really poor. For the first two days, nobody cleaned our room or left fresh water, toilet paper, or anything else. After we made the cleaning staff aware someone was staying there, they came daily. I'm not sure if it's hotel policy or the waiters' choice, but Turkish guests were treated much better than foreigners. In ten days, we were offered a drink once. Turkish families had food and drinks brought to them. I'm a man in my early thirties and can manage the stairs, but they didn't even help seniors who could barely walk.

I felt fantastic here, better than at some five-star hotels. The gym is a little old but very well equipped, and it even has a hack squat machine, which I've never seen in a gym. It's an easy short walk to the beach, where they also have water and coffee, and plenty of space. My room was newly refurbished, well designed, and comfortable. Along with the usual furniture, it had a desk, coffee table, two armchairs inside, and two more on the balcony. The blackout curtains were great. Everything was spotless, the cleaning ladies were exceptionally nice, and during my stay the whole place looked sparkling clean, despite complaints I'd seen in earlier reviews. The buffet was excellent, with a broad range of healthy choices, lean protein, fresh vegetables, varied hot dishes, salads, pickles, bread, desserts, and fruit. There was so much food that something was available at almost any time. I checked in at 11:30pm after dinner had ended, but they had saved a portion for me. The service was caring and lovely. Mustafa, thank you especially for helping me with everything. The DJ, chef, waiters, and reception staff were all kind and caring. I was happy to see them each day.

The location worked well for shopping, and the restaurant staff were kind with plenty of meal choices. The rooms were too small, and housekeeping was terrible: there were a couple of days with no cleaning at all, and the whole hotel needed much more cleaning. The beach is a six- or seven-minute walk away. There's no bar there, just coffee and cold water from the hotel. We also lost electricity for three hours one evening on a couple of days, and staff offered no compensation. If you want to extend your room on departure day, check the amount carefully. They quoted me 30 EUR but charged 40 EUR on my card, TRY 1500,00.
