There are lots of restaurants, cafés, and shops right nearby, and the property is well placed for the historic site and promenade. Still, I wouldn’t stay there again even at a lower price. The balcony view of the sea was nice, but the balcony wasn’t private, with no proper barrier, so neighbours could look over and easily access it. The air conditioning was strong but unbearably loud, and the fan speed couldn’t be adjusted. Open windows weren’t an option either, as music from nearby bars carried on until at least 1:30 a.m., when I last checked before finally falling asleep. The apartment, sheets, and towels were generally clean, though the kitchen and especially the fridge needed a better clean. I paid 4500 TL (~ 93 EUR) for two nights without breakfast, which wasn’t good value. Honestly, Side itself wasn’t that great either, one of the least attractive places I’ve visited in Turkey. I’d skip it and visit one of the many great places Turkey has to offer.

I booked after seeing a kitchenette listed on Booking.com, but there were no cooking facilities or ventilation. I showed the hotel the listing and a sign that said "kitchette." Four hours later, "kitchenette" had disappeared from Booking.com and been replaced with "kitchenwear." After two hours trying, I finally reached Booking.com. They offered to cancel three of my four nights if I sent a cancellation message, but the hotel refused, saying they weren’t responsible and would contact Booking.com. Booking.com sent the hotel several messages, but got no response, while the hotel said they hadn’t heard from them. I was left frustrated and uncomfortable for 21 hours. The Wi-Fi was so weak I couldn’t use it. Instead of the double room I booked, I got a three-bed room with hardly enough room to move. The veranda was far narrower than the photos suggested and barely fit a chair, so it wasn’t usable. If you’re planning to cook for yourself, be aware that the hotel doesn’t allow it.
