Begonville Hotel

The location was perfect, and the staff were friendly and helpful, though things felt very disorganized. There’s no reception, and the staff speak only Turkish. We booked breakfast at Moonlight Restaurant, but it was the same food every day. There were some real shortcomings: the WiFi didn’t work for all seven days, there was often no hot water when showering, no drinking water or fridge in the room, and the mattress sagged badly. Still, the value for money and location were great. I’d recommend it if you know what to expect and can live with those things.

It felt like staying with family, and the other guests were nice too. The two staff members were lovely and always happy to help. Breakfast was fresh and tasty, and kept us going until evening. The hotel is tucked away and beautiful. The beach wasn’t far, so not having a pool didn’t matter. I’d definitely go back.

The old town centre is a great base: the beach, harbour, shops, restaurants, and all the sights are within walking distance. The room was very basic, just a room with a bathroom, but it was comfortable. Breakfast and coffee were included at the seaside Moonlight restaurant, and both were lovely.

The rooms are basic and a bit tired, but the bedding and towels were clean. Staff were very friendly, and breakfast was okay. The location right in the old centre is ideal. I’d stay there again.
