Life Garden Hotel

The staff made our ten-day stay feel almost like being with family. They were so lovely that if they worked there all the time, I'd return just for them. I came back to this hotel a year after my previous stay because I wanted a quiet escape without lots of tourists. Its small size and location inland from Side suited that perfectly. The views are beautiful if you like city walks. The room was in line with the hotel's category, and the food was good enough that you won't go hungry. Just keep your expectations in line with the price, rather than expecting three-star luxury.

The place isn't great, and I'd put the hotel at two stars at best. The food was okay, and the drinks were rum, with gin sometimes available. The staff work hard and deal with problems as they come up. If you end up here, my advice is to take it easy with a rum or gin and relax, despite the little horrors around the place.

The staff are generally very helpful, and the pool is decent. There isn't a fridge except for the one at the bar. Food has no meat, and the bathroom and rooms lack proper ventilation. Some rooms are damp and moldy, and water drips from the bathroom ceiling. It's rated three stars, and I'd say it meets that level. I added this a year later: the hotel is tolerable. Just relax.
