Side Village Apart Hotel

We’ve just returned from this hotel. The location is really good, the staff are friendly, and there’s a good choice of food. It’s also very green. We’d definitely come back if we get the chance.

We were very happy with our stay. The hotel is leafy and cosy, in a quiet spot, and everyone was friendly and helpful. When the AC in our room had a small issue, they fixed it straight away. Some parts have been recently renovated, though a few details suggest there’s room for more updates. It was minor and didn’t bother us. The rooms, restaurant, and bar were clean, and the food and drinks were really good.

There are lots of trees and plants around the hotel, with a nice atmosphere, plenty of pools, and good activities for kids. I didn’t use the pools myself because I went swimming in the sea every day. A free beach shuttle runs every 15 minutes from 09:00am -18:00. You can stay at the beach for lunch, with a nice choice of grilled food and other dishes, plus drinks and refreshments during the day. Our standard room was spacious and comfortable, and the rooms were cleaned every day. The location is great, and I highly recommend the hotel.

The food was repetitive and dry, and I didn’t enjoy it. Most of the staff seemed young and inexperienced, and offered little help when problems came up. My room was fairly spacious and okay once I finally got it, and the hotel is near a nice beach, but those positives don’t make up for the experience. When we arrived, they said there was a “technical issue” with our room and sent us to a cheap motel down the road for the night. I believe the hotel deliberately overbooks and uses this as a way to make money at guests’ expense. It felt dishonest and extremely frustrating. I wouldn’t recommend staying here unless you’re prepared for that and mediocre amenities.
