Washington Resort Hotel - All Inclusive

My daughter had a great time with the kids' animation programs, and the team was lovely with the children. A big thank you to Veta ❤ The hotel itself was really nice and everything else was good. The one thing I couldn't understand was why the main restaurant tables were covered in dirty dishes. Whenever we arrived looking for a place to sit, every free table seemed to have used plates and glasses on it. I haven't seen that in the other hotels I've visited.

The sea was clean and there were plenty of sunbeds, but the beach was difficult with children. It was rocky, the water got deep steeply, and the waves were large every afternoon. The newer building where families with children are placed is also much farther from the sea. They call it an upgrade, but it just means an extra room, which didn't help us with a baby. We arrived at 1 a.m. after requesting a cot in advance, but the room wasn't ready and we waited another 30 minutes. Walking back and forth to the beach every day was exhausting. The food was average. Breakfast was the same each day, while lunch and dinner were fine. More fruit, side dishes and meals for kids would have helped, along with more high chairs. One morning I asked several staff members, including managers, for grapes for my daughter. None understood this basic English word, and they ignored me. They sat at a table eating alongside paying guests, which is unacceptable in hospitality. Management's attitude was very poor, and reception staff always seemed annoyed. Poolside cleanliness was nonexistent. Chips my child spilled on the first day were still there a week later. I won't say much about the pool itself: we caught a virus and ended up in hospital with our one-year-old on IV drips. Our room was clean only on the first day. The sheets were never changed, even after our child accidentally wet them, and the bathroom and toilet weren't cleaned. They refilled the water daily and changed the towels daily, but stocked the minibar only on the first day. Housekeepers kept coming in despite the “Do Not Disturb” sign, waking my child from her nap every time. At the terrace bar, the waiter was rude. My husband wanted to take a drink back to our sleeping child, but was told he had to drink it at the bar. That's hardly what I'd call “ultra all-inclusive.” The kids' animators didn't engage with the children or even smile. There should be an indoor play area. I've worked in high-end hospitality for 10 years, and my impression is that this is a 3-star hotel. Management seriously needs replacing.

The little kids' pool was very small and surrounded by the smell of urine. The entertainment in the evenings was so dull it would put you to sleep, unless you came from the particular country of tourists the resort seems to cater to. It felt as though guests from other nations were disregarded. The food seemed to be served repeatedly and reheated, as if saving money mattered more than cooking fresh meals each day or avoiding waste. The all-inclusive alcoholic drinks also seemed watered down: the bottles were filled with water to make them look full, and that's what we were served. If prison life sounds appealing, book a seven-night stay here.

The location was excellent, the food was varied and tasty, and the facilities were well looked after with plenty of amenities. The animation programs for children and adults stood out too. They were so well organized that there was no need to leave the resort, day or night. We just finished our stay, and I can only say good things about the resort and its wonderful staff. Special thanks to the kind, professional team. I'd wholeheartedly recommend this fantastic hotel. In my opinion, it's a 10/10.
