Maran House Boutique-hotel

The staff were kind and thoughtful. They even arranged for my luggage and me to be picked up and taken to my next hotel before I asked. Breakfast was a generous Turkish spread, with eggs cooked to order just how I wanted. My room itself was lovely, practical, and well priced, though calling it “mountain view” seemed a little misleading. The terrace had an amazing view. The newly built property was spotless and carefully designed, and the location suited me perfectly: peaceful and local in feel, away from the tourist streets but still convenient for the main sights. I think it may be one of the best hotels in Mardin for its price. A stay I'll remember, and highly recommended.

The people here made me feel like family. The proprietor and staff are some of the kindest people I've met. Thank you so much, Omar and everyone, you're the best! I loved my room right away, and the beds and pillows were really comfortable. There was plenty of hot water, breakfast was generous and tasty, and the views were amazing. Maran House is also within walking distance of lots of great food, shops, historical churches, and mosques. It's absolutely incredible.

The facilities didn't seem old, though we had several power cuts on the second day, perhaps because of the mountainous location, and the internet connection was unstable. Breakfast was fairly average, but that's about what I'd expect from a traditional Turkish breakfast. The service was excellent. Someone met us at the taxi stand, and when we changed hotels, they took us right to the reception at the next place, with someone there to meet us too. There are several attractions nearby, which was convenient. Thanks so much!

The rooms and the view were lovely, and the service was great, with people who were really helpful. I'd recommend Maran House Mardin as one of the best places to stay around here. Great breakfast, too. Omer and Sibel, who I mostly spoke with, were both very kind and helpful.
