We spent one night at Marvel Otel, and it was very horrible. There was no water, so we couldn’t shower, use the toilet, or wash our hands and faces. There was nobody to speak to. In the morning, we waited 40 minutes to talk with the hotel owner and ask for our money back, but he wouldn’t speak to us, treated us badly, and left. He seemed uninterested and disrespectful, and spoke to us in a very harsh tone. I can’t recommend this hotel.

This is a very good classical old Mardin building, with original stone rooms and good-sized spaces. Staff were cheerful and very helpful, and breakfast was good too. The air conditioning was the only problem we had. Since the hotel is right on Old Mardin’s busiest street, finding parking for a car is very difficult. I recommend calling ahead and asking the staff for help with parking.

The room put our worries to rest as soon as we arrived. It was clean, dry, and warm, and my friend and I were very happy with it. I’d been hesitant because the hotel is in a tourist area, but I’d researched our hotel well. After an uncomfortable stay in a damp, unusable stone house in Şanlıurfa, Marvel’s service changed how we felt about the experience. We’re so glad we stayed, and we were very satisfied. Breakfast was very good, and they even offered complimentary coffee. The location is extremely central in the Artuklu district. Parking is a downside, though you can leave your car in the side streets a little farther away. The reception staff were very helpful carrying our luggage. Thank you so much for everything. Marvel Hotel Mardin was spotless, from our room and bathroom to the bed linens. Breakfast was delicious, and the staff were wonderful: polite, respectful, warm, and always there when we needed something. We had a fantastic stay and felt truly welcome and cared for. It’s been a long time since we had such a lovely visit. Thank you to the whole team! 💛
