The terrace was a real highlight, with an amazing view over the city and a chance to catch the sunset on a clear day. We were very glad we chose Zabel Hotel. The rooms were spacious and very clean, and the staff were incredibly kind and helpful. We can definitely recommend staying here.

Our host Doğan did a great job. He made sure we could get to the airport on time and brought us tea on the terrace each night. The service was exceptional.

From the terrace, the Mesopotamian landscape, Mardin's stone houses, and the castle are all right there. That view alone makes the stay worthwhile. The rooms were spotless, with careful attention to both decor and hygiene, and the breakfast was tasty, made with a range of fresh ingredients. It's a charming, warm boutique hotel, and the staff were attentive, friendly, and genuinely caring toward guests. We had a wonderful stay at Zabel Hotel. Some of the negative reviews had put us off, but after seeing the place ourselves, they seemed exaggerated. To me, it's one of the best places to stay in Mardin, and I highly recommend it.

I stayed alone from December 18-22, 2025. From my first call to the hotel until checkout, everything was seamless. This isn't an ad or collaboration, just my personal experience. The staff really do care about making guests happy. Esra Hanım and Mazlum Bey were especially helpful with everything from planning sightseeing to finding places to eat. As a woman traveling alone, I especially appreciated how carefully they helped me feel safe. That mattered more to me than the service itself. Even in winter, my room was comfortable and I had no heating issues. I also asked for breakfast before the usual time, and they kindly prepared it for me. My one criticism is that the heavy suitcases were left for the female staff to carry up and down the stairs. As a woman guest, that upset me. I’d really like to see a solution for that physical burden by the time I stay again.
