Ada Julian Marmaris Hotel

The location works well for the beach and nearby amenities, and the rooms are a decent size. They only get cleaned if you ask, though. The food selection was poor, with the same dishes presented differently each day. Reception staff were pleasant and helpful, but management really needs to improve its manners and customer relations. The plaque says four stars, but I'd give it two plus at most.

The beach is only a minute away, and we had a wonderful week at Ada Julian hotel with no complaints. Everyone on staff was so friendly and polite. The spa was brilliant, thanks for the experiences, and there were lots of different food choices each day. I'd recommend staying here. Thanks again.

The room fridge didn't work, there was no hot water, and the bathroom had old urine stains on the wall beside the toilet. The pool was okay, but some sunbeds were broken and it needs more. We were also told that a small inflatable ball was 'disturbing'. Pool rooms don't have balconies, which we hadn't been told. The lobby and restaurant had no air conditioning, and there seemed to be very few staff. The room looked like the photos but was run-down and extremely dirty. It wasn't cleaned daily. When we hung the cleaning sign, they only changed towels and left toilet roll, or even left dirty towels in the shower. Breakfast was cold, unpleasant, and the same every day, with very few options. The gym had grit across the floor, barely any equipment, and only about two weights, so it looked like it was rarely cleaned. Staff were rude from the moment we arrived, especially at reception. There was no bellboy; they handed us the room card and told us to find the room ourselves. For a four-star hotel, none of this was acceptable. Not having a decent place to return to completely ruined my holiday, and I wouldn't recommend it.

The hotel advertised free parking, but in practice it meant finding a side street space near the hotel yourself. We also had to put up with loud music from the Irish Pub next door until midnight. Our bedsheets and blankets on both beds were filthy and stained, and we couldn't wait to check out. Staff were very unhelpful when we asked for clean sheets, and it took four requests to get an extra pillow. The hotel managers were rude and unhelpful too. If I could have got a refund, I would have left right away.
