We couldn’t even leave our belongings there on the last day, so we ended up out on the street. The owners’ greedy, arrogant attitude was frustrating from the start. We’d paid a third of the deposit in advance, but were told to pay as soon as we arrived. We had no cash with us and were practically thrown out. The hotel seemed completely indifferent, and honestly didn’t feel like a hotel at all. Don’t trust the positive reviews. I believe you’d be happier on the streets of Marmaris. You leave angry and tense, and arguing with them feels pointless. I won’t go into more detail, but this is the place to avoid in Marmaris. I absolutely don’t recommend it.

In 2018, when we couldn’t find a room in Marmaris, we noticed a light on in one room at Barış Hotel. It may have looked like a three-star place, but even one star feels too generous. When we asked to see the rooms, the smell made us feel sick before we could even look properly. The floors still had carpet, and I wondered whether plasterers had cleaned the rooms the last time the place was under construction.

The cleanest hotel I’ve stayed at in Marmaris. The staff were attentive and really friendly, and it’s somewhere I’d feel comfortable staying again. Definitely recommend it.

A pleasant vacation depends a lot on having a decent place to stay. This business is so uncommunicative and greedy, and now I understand why it’s the only place sitting empty. If you want to protect your peace of mind, stay far away. Really, stay away.

The toilets were filthy and looked like they belonged in the 80s, while the rooms were awful and full of ants. They should use the money they charge to do some maintenance. You’d be better off staying outside.
