Club Bellamare Beach

The beachside setting gave us stunning views and easy access to the Mediterranean’s clear water. The atmosphere throughout Club Bellamare Beach Marmaris was relaxing and welcoming. Our room was clean and comfortable, and there was a good variety of tasty dining options. The whole staff showed great hospitality, especially Allash at the front desk. From the moment I arrived during my Turkey vacation, he made me feel welcome and explained the hotel’s amenities, places to eat and nearby attractions, so I had what I needed to enjoy my stay.

The food was awful, and everything was served cold. Burgers and chips for snack time were cooked at noon, taken to the snack bar, then left unheated until they were allowed out at 2:30. The children’s play area was dangerous too, with rotten wooden slats on the slide and a swing held together with barbed wire. Getting cereal bowls became a daily battle. Even 15 minutes after breakfast began, I was told there were none because breakfast was nearly over. Only one staff member spoke a tiny bit of English. There’s no shop nearby, and the closest one requires a bus that comes only once an hour. Trips booked for days out wouldn’t even pick up from this hotel. The location is beautiful and the rooms were clean, but those problems made for a terrible stay.

The grounds are lovely, with huge pines, bushes and flowers. It stays cooler there than in the city, which is great on hot summer days, and the fresh meals were very good. The internet connection wasn’t great, so I’ve taken off a star. There are lots of steep stairs around the property, which makes it unsuitable for people with special needs who use wheelchairs.

The beach has limited chairs and umbrellas, and there’s no sand, so if you want a seat you may have to move towels left by tourists who’ve reserved chairs from the day before. The hotel itself was very dirty and old. We booked a four-star place, but it barely felt three-star. Doors slammed all hours, staff were rude and lied, and after asking for clean towels two days in a row, we never got any. The toilet seat was broken. Maintenance said someone would fix it in 30 minutes, but nobody came back. Someone must have complained about the dirt, because ZABITA, the health and security department, came to inspect. The staff panicked and cleaned like never before, even the beach 🤣. If you hate yourself, you can stay here.
