Club Dorado

We spent two days here. The staff were friendly, caring, and professional, and the food was tasty with plenty of variety. The room was comfortable and clean, with a big balcony. It’s about a 15-minute walk to the beach. Very good for a three-star hotel.

The pool was a good size, and there was no real scramble for a deck chair. The staff were friendly and polite, and the beach wasn’t too far away. There wasn’t anything to do at the hotel, such as a karaoke night. We were all-inclusive, but the drinks were the cheapest sort of lemonade, coke, vodka, and so on. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner were poor at best, not food I’d want to give a dog. Breakfast was Mediterranean or something like that, with feta, salad, and egg. If you want a fry-up, you’ll need to go elsewhere.

I could only manage to eat at the hotel three times in ten days because the same food was served day after day. Most of it didn’t look appetising, so I stuck to chips and some salad. My daughter didn’t eat there at all. With all-inclusive, you at least expect something to eat. Luckily, there are plenty of restaurants just a stone’s throw away. The staff work tirelessly to keep the resort very clean. They’re friendly and go the extra mile to make your stay pleasant. The food was the problem for me on both visits. It’s bland and seems mostly aimed at Russian visitors rather than the small number of British guests.

Rooms could do with a bit of refreshing, and the air conditioning is poor. The drinks are very good, while the food is OK for this hotel category. It’s around 1 km from the beach. The hotel suits its star rating, with a bar, restaurant, swimming pool, and a warm welcome from the staff. Thanks for the hospitality ;) Generally, it’s good for groups of friends and young people.
