Exelsior Annex

The staff were always willing to help, and I enjoyed my stay here in May 2019. It had what I needed.

Really nice and clean, and the entertainment was great too. I liked it a lot.

Terrible experience. I wouldn't go back.

The reception lady was fantastic and always polite, and the cleaners worked hard to keep the place clean. The man on duty at night was helpful too, though the person who greeted us just handed over the key and said someone would show us to our room. He gave no advice about what was available or how the wristband payment worked. We didn't use the system where you pay in advance and charge food and drinks to a wristband. We ate along the beach and at the harbour instead, about a 10-15 minute walk away. The hotel across the road, The Junior, had the reception and a busy pool that seemed child friendly. There were shows and activities in the evenings, and the noise went on until 11pm. Our apartment was run down, with kitchen cupboard doors that wouldn't fit properly, a broken kitchen light, and a fridge that wouldn't stay shut. Air conditioning in the small sitting area was included, but using it in the bedroom cost extra. The TV had some free channels, but ours didn't work, so we listened to music from my phone instead. It's cheap, but not cheerful. It serves a purpose, and I could see that it has plenty of returning guests. We mostly used it as a base to sleep, since we were out much of the time.
