Piccolo Dream Hotel - All Inclusive - Adults Only

I've been here a week and really don't want to leave. The hotel was spotless, and the food was nice with enough choice for everyone. The rooms are lovely and have what you need, plus thoughtful extras like slippers, tea, coffee, and toiletries. Jack from the entertainment team was great with guests, and there were different shows and acts every night. I can't fault the hotel and would definitely stay again.

The staff were pleasant, and the hardworking cleaner kept our small, dated room clean with fresh towels. But the food was basic and often only warm, with chips and rice appearing at nearly every meal. I skipped breakfast a few times and was usually out during the day, so I never had lunch. The sunbeds were claimed with towels by the same people each day, then left unattended, which shouldn’t be allowed. Cats wandered around the pool and food area during meals, so anyone with a cat allergy should avoid the place. I can’t see why it has a four-star rating. Maybe it improves later in the season, though I’m not sure. It’s a small hotel, which may be part of the problem. The room was clean, but overall I didn’t feel it was good value and wouldn’t return.

For a last-minute, budget five-night break, it was fine, and you get what you pay for. The staff were lovely and friendly, and the rooms were clean. Food was about six out of ten and not always warm. We were on the fourth floor, where the rooms felt even smaller than the others because of the sloping ceiling. At 6 ft 1, I found that especially noticeable. No major complaints for what we paid.

The entertainers, Jack and another Gent, were accommodating and memorable, and the cleaner who came every day was lovely. I really liked this hotel and will certainly come back, even though we had a couple of hiccups with our room at the start. It’s close to the main street, but far enough away to escape the busy nightlife. I visited in early October, so that might be different at peak season.
