Sincerity Apart Hotel

The rooms have been renovated, and the place is lovely and clean, with fresh towels every day. The staff were amazing. It's a short walk to the beach, or there's a shuttle bus right outside if walking isn't easy. I was genuinely sad to leave, but I'll be back in September.

The staff really made the place feel welcoming. They kept the kids entertained day and night, with fire dancers, pool parties, salsa and group dancing. I think they also have BBQ nights. The food and drinks were good and reasonably priced. My husband and I shared the Turkish testi kebab, and it was the tastiest thing we ate, full of flavor and served with starters, rice, chips, salad, bread and dips. You have to order it the day before so they can prepare it. It cost £50 for two people. The pool was lovely, with a little waterfall, and we didn't have to compete for loungers. It was cleaned a few times during our stay. There are markets on both sides of the hotel. The one to the left is much cheaper, but isn't open 24 hours. The beach is about a 20-25 minute walk away, or a taxi costs 200-300 Turkish lira one way. We stayed for a week at a very cheap price, so the dated rooms and basic setup weren't a surprise, but there are things they could improve. The beds weren't very comfortable, there was no toaster, and the cooker was just two plug-in rings. There were no hair dryers either, though a staff member kindly lent me his for the week. You could hear people walking and moving chairs in the rooms above. Air conditioning cost an extra £40 for the week, but it worked brilliantly and was worth it in the hotter months. The cleaner came every other day to change towels, empty bins and sweep, sometimes arranging the towels in patterns. The food and attentive staff made up for a lot. Excursions were reasonably priced and picked up right outside. The pool area felt fine to me, even though some people say it's cramped. For the price we paid, we had a lovely holiday.

We loved Marmaris, and the hotel staff were excellent, always ready to bring more food or drinks. Our room was old but clean, with towels and sheets changed regularly. The place is small, including the pool area, so sunbathing space is limited. We had a good time, but anyone looking for peace and quiet might find it difficult. Our room was above the front bar and the pool table. We heard clacking balls and players shouting at each other all night and first thing in the morning. If you drink enough to sleep through anything, it may be fine, but if you want to sleep past 9am, I hope you don't get that room. Traffic never seems to stop, mostly noisy scooters with battered exhausts. The first dinner we had there was undercooked chicken, so we sent it back. We ate there a couple more times, and the fish and curry dinners were lovely. The cleaner was a lovely lady. The beach is a 15-20 minute walk, which we enjoyed in the evening and during the day. Buses run constantly, are very cheap, and stop wherever you signal. I'd avoid the expensive cabs. Even the bus to the airport took an hour and a half and cost only 5 euro each, compared with 120 euro by cab. It stops right at the airport, so I recommend taking one when you arrive.

The staff were amazing, but I came home on 8/10/22 after staying in room 403, and the room really needs updating. The bed bases looked like they'd been re-covered, but all I could see were staples. There were cigarette burns on the lovely purple seating in the living area. I've had TVs, toasters and microwaves in most self-catering apartments, but there was none of that here. We only got two toilet rolls, then had to buy our own because ours were never replaced. I know Covid affected a lot of hotels, but cleaning one room at a time would be ideal. I follow a strict gluten-free diet and brought my toastie bags and my own bread, since gluten-free bread is hard to find in Turkey. Without a toaster to use, I ate very little all week.
