Sun Apart Hotel

The rooms are roomy and clean, and I felt right at home. I first discovered this lovely hotel this year, and meeting the owner, Ertan Abi, made me comfortable booking straight away. Even heading down to the lobby felt like visiting Ertan Abi. He’s so welcoming and easy to talk to, and he can be flexible with the price depending on how long you stay. It’s a great deal for what you get, and the sea is only 30-40 meters away. There are tables and barbecues on the terrace for guests to use. I heard they’re planning to improve the services next year. If we get the chance, we’ll definitely come back.

The terrace has lovely views of both the sea and the mountains, and the hotel is quiet, peaceful, and close to the water. We stayed July 12-16, 2019, with two adults and two children, while visiting the military camp about 1.5 km away. The room rate was almost the same as the camp’s. Staff were kind and helpful, prices were reasonable, and the recently renovated hotel felt worth the money. Our room had what we needed, including free air conditioning. The sheets were clean, the beds were comfortable, the rooms spotless, and hot water was fine, though the pressure could have been stronger. The bathroom door had an issue, but it didn’t bother us much. We were still there on day three when I wrote this, and I think we’ll return. Many thanks to Mr. Musa.

We’d been really looking forward to staying here, so this was a huge letdown. The room was dirty, with hair everywhere, and the bathroom was just as bad. The floor was so unpleasant that we had to keep the children in their shoes, and we couldn’t walk around barefoot. There was a stale, musty smell too. The kitchenette was filthy, and dishes from the previous guests were still sitting in the sink. I wouldn’t recommend it.

The rooms suited me fine for the price since I was outside most of the time, and the sea is only a minute away on foot. The owner was great, spoke several languages, and was very helpful. He gave us lots of tips on what to do. We’ll definitely return.
