Akdeniz Hotel

We left after only 20 minutes, got our deposit back, and moved to another hotel. We’d booked 11 rooms for nine families attending the Turkish Parkour Gymnastics competition. The rooms didn’t look like the photos, and they smelled terrible. The bathroom tiles looked nearly 50 years old, yellow and stained with dirt. The bathroom and toilet were together, almost one inside the other. Other guests also said the sheets, pillows, and towels were dirty. I gave five stars to be fair because I can’t comment on the service, and the location is convenient.

The location’s a little far out, but you can take a dolmusi and get dropped right in front. It’s very cheap, so I think you can stay without complaints. The cleanliness could be better, though that’s about what you’d expect from a one-star hotel. It seems to be run by grandfathers, and they’re very fond of Koreans. Everyone was kind, and the air conditioning worked great. I’m not very fussy, so I was really satisfied. I told grandpa I was sleeping alone, but he gave me a room that was much too big. I’ve seen lots of smaller rooms. I was very happy with my stay.

The room was unbelievably dirty, especially the pillows and sheets, and everything seemed to be falling apart. When we said we didn’t want to stay, they wouldn’t cancel the room and treated us terribly. It was the rudest and dirtiest place I’ve ever come across. I’d never recommend it, and I wish I’d checked the reviews first.

I only parked my car there and didn’t stay at the hotel. From the outside it looked normal, and the location seemed good.
