Savran is right in a lively neighborhood, and the staff helped make our stay enjoyable. My boyfriend and I stayed here during a long trip around Asia. Breakfast and tea were free, and the place had some local character. The rooms were clean and perfectly adequate, though you can tell they’re budget rooms. Some of the lower ratings seem to judge it against pricier hotels. For what we paid, it was a great choice, and I’d happily stay at Hotel Savran again.

The place looked better from outside than it was inside. It was old, dirty, and had broken furniture. Even the bed was dirty, so there was no way we could stay there. It felt like a nightmare. 🤮🤮

The rooms weren’t anything special, but with breakfast included and a price like this, it was well worth it for a budget stay. I had a good experience overall 👍

The room leaked a lot of water from the air conditioner, was in poor condition, and didn’t even come with basics like toilet paper. Parking was free, at least. I’ve booked a cleaner, more luxurious double room elsewhere since, with a fridge, TV, and everything available. Compared with that, Safran Hotel was a really bad experience, and I won’t repeat it. I don’t recommend it at all. At first, the daytime staff were friendly, and the room seemed acceptable for the price. After my wife went back to her country, I was waiting for a ship, so I returned and booked online at the same hotel. The staff didn’t like that, and told me the room wouldn’t have a refrigerator. I said that was fine and I could manage without one. The next day, I asked an employee to extend my stay before checkout. I waited over two and a half hours. When I went back to ask, he quoted 1500 Turkish liras, as if I were booking for a couple. I was alone, and had paid about 800 liras through Agoda, so that was more than double. I refused and said I’d leave. The employee suddenly became very active, kept asking for the key, and wouldn’t wait even a few minutes while I booked online for myself. That treatment really bothered me. I’ll send photos and videos if possible.

If you’re not too picky and need to keep costs down, this hotel is a good option. Prices are among the lowest, and the friendly staff and receptionist are always glad to help if you need something.
