Seyir Village Hotel

The location worked well for us: Hisarönü was about a 10-minute walk or a £4 taxi ride, and a taxi to Ölüdeniz was £5.50. Both areas had pretty much anything we wanted. Since it was the end of the season, the pool was cold and the slide wasn’t running, though it was nice to swim on warmer days. The staff would switch the slide on if we asked. We stayed 10 nights with my fiancée and her family. The rooms were the best I’ve had on holiday, with proper double beds instead of two twins pushed together, big showers (some double-sided for two people), a good-sized fridge restocked daily with free water, and a safe. We had bed and breakfast, which was as expected: eggs, fruit, toast and the usual things. The poolside restaurant and bar served food all day, and it was really good. Everyone working there was friendly and eager to help. The manager also let us keep one of our two rooms free of charge because our return flight was at midnight, which made the last day much more relaxing. I’d highly recommend staying here.

They’ve recently refurbished the place, and I couldn’t find anything to complain about. Breakfast is excellent for what you pay per night, and the staff are consistently friendly and accommodating. The rooms get cleaned every day, with fresh bedding and towels. I’ve stayed here more than 10 times over the past 10 years, and it still impresses me. Highly recommend it.

The location is great, and the food and drinks are brilliant. Çetin is a real credit to seyir village, always looking after guests with a friendly smile and a good chat. Mehmet is very helpful too, as is the rest of the staff. Special mention to the maids, who make up the rooms every day without fail.

The setting was a highlight for me as someone who loves nature. The mountains are right there, with beautiful scenery all around. A taxi stand is next to the hotel, just press the button and wait. There are restaurants down the street, and more restaurants, supermarkets and a mosque about 10 minutes away. A travel agency nearby helped us book a safari, where we saw lots of lovely places, including saklikent gorge. We could see the blue lagoon beach from the cable cars, though traffic and timing meant we didn’t get to visit it. Babadag cable cars are not far away, with paragliding, a restaurant and the cable cars. Fethiye markets, including the well-known umbrella markets, were about a 20-minute drive away. My mum and I enjoyed seeing all the plants and fruit growing around, including flowers, figs, olives, apples, pomegranates, dates and bananas. Some were even at the hotel. They also keep chickens, a turtle and a well-behaved dog that stays in its own area. We stayed last August, and our room could have used some renovation. On day three, the curtain rail fell down and broke while my teenage brother was in the room and my mum and I were swimming. The lovely housekeeping lady spotted it when she came to clean and quickly contacted repairs, who fixed it. We were on what I believe was the fourth floor. There’s no lift, so getting luggage up and down was difficult, but the team kindly helped us. This was our first half-board booking, so I wasn’t sure what to expect. We got a separate menu with included food options, plus another menu with paid choices if we wanted something different. There were still plenty of good meals. I hadn’t expected that water would only be free in the morning, with no complimentary drinks otherwise. Maybe that’s normal for half board, but I’m not sure. Staff were helpful and responsive, suggested things to do on days when traffic stopped taxis from taking us places, and let us use their phones to book our transfer. The restaurant and bar also serve people who come just for a meal, but it wasn’t especially busy on our evenings and never caused us a problem.
