Mari Time Hotel

The mattress was extremely uncomfortable and springy, and the bedding left my clothes dirty and smelling strange. The toilet kept running for minutes, couldn't be turned off, and wouldn't flush properly. There was no shampoo. During our four days and four nights, the room was cleaned just once, so our towels were changed only once too. The room looked completely different from the online photos and description. Breakfast was average at best, and one male staff member seemed a little weird. The rest of the staff weren't that bad. Location was the only acceptable part. I'd had high hopes from the pictures and description, but this was a letdown and booking it was a mistake on our side. I don't usually leave negative reviews, but I feel people should know.

The owner at Mari Time Hotel treats us very kindly and does his best to make our stay pleasant. When we have small service issues, he sorts them out. Breakfast runs from 8 to 10, but if you have to leave earlier, they can offer you a cup of coffee.

The one thing going for this place was its location, within walking distance of lots of places. Everything else was a letdown. We booked from the pictures, but our room was tiny and nothing like the one we chose. The toilet often wouldn't flush and would start running on its own. The sheets were clean, I'll give them that, but otherwise the cleanliness wasn't good. No shampoo or soap either, which is basic stuff for what I paid. We stayed four nights and the cleaner came only once. Breakfast was average at best, repeated the same things every day, and didn't seem freshly made, so it wasn't worth the price. The man at the counter felt a bit creepy. Please don't book here if you can avoid it. There are many nicer looking hotels in the area.

Our visit was really enjoyable, thanks especially to Mr. Ismail for the exceptional service.
